PITTSBURGH, Pa. - March 20, 2021 - Chatham hosted Grove City in another non-conference matchup this morning for their first game at UPMC Graham Field.

Grove City scored early and often, leaving the Cougars trailing the entire game.

First-year Riley Lewis gave the Wolverines some offensive competition, scoring a goal just over three minutes into the game when Grove City was only up by two.

Unfortunately for the Cougars, Grove City picked up their offense throughout the first and second quarters. Dillon Dugan would break up the scoring, netting a goal with an assist from Daniel Napier to conclude the first half.

Chatham focused on its defense in the second half of the game, minimizing Grove City's scoring chances. Senior Adam Bleess scored an unassisted goal to start the final quarter, followed by a goal from Daniel Napier, assisted by Ben Neal, and an unassisted score from Michael Porreca.

Goalkeeper Shane Gaglione made 11 saves in the loss. Zach Mayan won a game-high five face-offs. Daniel Napier had a team-high five shots, followed by Nicholas Guaglione and Isaac Joshi with three each.

Men's Lacrosse returns to action on Saturday, March 27th at Saint Vincent for their final non-conference game of the season.
