Game Recap: Women's Hockey |

Corser-James, Collins, Almond Combine for 10 Points Against Lebanon Valley

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - March 12, 2021 - Women's Hockey hosted Lebanon Valley College for the first time this season, defeating them by a final score of 4-2. Chatham's first line of Allison Corser-James and Brooke Almond centered by Sydney Collins was unstoppable, racking up three goals with secondary assists.

The Cougars got off to a slow start, allowing two goals for the Dutchwomen to begin the first two periods of the game.

Despite the dramatic shot differential, the Cougars did not have scoring success until the end of the second period when Allison Corser-James took advantage of passes from her linemates Sydney Collins and Brooke Almond. The trio struck again less than two minutes later, with Corser-James netting her second of the night and period with assists to Almond and Collins.

The star-studded line struck once more in the period with senior Sydney Collins taking a turn at the net, tipping a shot from Brooke Almond who received a pass from Corser-James.

To cap off the win in the third period, Corser-James secured her first collegiate hat trick with under five minutes to go, picking up a clear from first-year Ariel Garbin and blowing past the Lebanon Valley defensemen.

With the win, the Cougars have improved to 4-3 in conference play. They head to Annville, Pa. tomorrow for a 5 PM puck drop against the Dutchwomen to round out the series.
