SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – November 28, 2021 – The Chatham men's hockey team wrapped up the holiday weekend in the consolations of the Skidmore Thanksgiving Invitational, falling to Brockport 7-1. Chatham's record drops to 1-5-2 overall.
Sophomore
Carson Grainer scored the Cougars' only goal in the first period after getting assists from senior
Tristan Simm and junior
Aidan Girduckis, but the Cougars were outscored 3-1 in the first period and 2-0 in the latter two periods of action. Chatham was outshot 38-25 for the contest. First-year goaltender
Thomson Phinney started in net but took the L after allowing three goals and making nine saves. He was relieved by sophomore
Peter Siolas, who played the final two periods and made 22 stops.
Chatham reenters conference play on Friday, December 3 with a weekend road trip beginning just outside of Hershey at Lebanon Valley. Puck drops at 7:00.
