GREENVILLE, Pa. - October 27, 2021 - Chatham Men's Soccer traveled to Thiel College this afternoon for their final PAC regular season matchup. A first half goal would prove to be enough as the Cougars rolled to their fifth shutout win of the season.
Chatham's offense put up a shooting clinic on the Thiel defense early and often. First-year Zachary DelGiudice was the first to register a shot on goal, the first of four from him on the night.
Shots from senior Ken Richard and junior Marco Piccolo would also be stopped by Thiel's Devin Weisbarth until the halfway point, when Piccolo found an open corner after receiving the ball from senior Ryan Tahbaz.
Piccolo and classmate Leandro Nasso would both trail DelGiudice with three shots apiece. Richard, Tahbaz, and first-year Julian Kröger each found their way to the net once for a total of 13 shots by the Cougars.
At the other end, first-year goalkeeper Trevor Rose would face nine shots, stopping the only one that landed on net. The shutout is Rose's fifth of the season.
The Cougars finish the regular season with a record of 9-6-1 overall and 6-3 in conference, both shattering previous win records in the program's history.
