He left home when he was 17 years old to attend a prep school in New Hampshire. He then went to Syracuse New York for two years, taking two years off of school. After playing juniors, Chatham reached out and he ended up choosing Chatham for his collegiate experience.

Last summer, Dom was able to travel to different countries. First, he went to Belize and Guatemala and backpacked for more than two weeks. "What an unbelievable experience that I was able to see such different culture and different mindsets" Dom stated. Afterwards, he traveled to San Francisco, Las Vegas and Napa Valley. Out of all of the places Dom has traveled, his favorites were Las Vegas and Napa Valley because of how much he was able to see in the short few days of his trips.

Dom started playing hockey when he was little. His father runs hockey tournaments for a living and was his influence on how he began his start in hockey. "I really like the game, that's why I play it. I don't think I could see myself playing any other game" Dom stated.
Â
Dom's favorite NHL athlete is Sidney Crosby. Dom says Crosby works hard on and off the ice day in and day out, his work ethic is unbelievable and he has done a lot for the game.
Â
"'Work hard when it's time to work hard, have fun when it's time to have fun" Dom says.
