ANNVILLE, Pa. – Feb. 8, 2020– The Chatham University Women's Hockey team brought home a Cougar win after defeating Lebanon Valley 2-1 Saturday evening.
RECORDS: The Cougars improve to 7-11-2 (3-7-2 UCHC) while Lebanon Valley falls to 4-15-1 (2-9-1 UCHC).
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham travels back home as they face Alvernia in a conference matchup Saturday, February 15th. Puck drop is set for 12:40 PM.
SCORING SUMMARY: Chatham scored the first goal of the contest thanks to
Brooke Almond, assisted by
Elena Boyle.
Lebanon Valley scored a short-handed goal with less than two minutes left to play in the second period tying the game 1-1 heading into the final period of regulation.
Chatham answered back and scored four minutes into the third period thanks to
Sydney Collins.
The Cougars defeated Lebanon Valley 2-1.
GOALTENDING: Devon Strachan secured the victory for the Cougars making 23 saves including 11 in the third period.
SHOTS LEADER: Collins
led the Chatham attack with six shots on goal.
FACEOFFS: Collins won a team high 11 face offs. Almond won seven draws in the circle.
