PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Feb. 5, 2020 - Chatham (12-7, 5-6) continued their play at home on Wednesday, February 5th as they faced off against Grove City (17-2, 9-2) in a PAC matchup. The Cougars were coming off a home loss on Saturday, February 1st against Washington and Jefferson where they fell 66-53.

The Cougars went ahead first, gaining a four point advantage over the Wolverines after first year Sierra McClain's jump shot made the score 13-9. The Wolverines answered with a 9-0 run to go out in front of Chatham 18-13. The Cougars scored three more points in the quarter, as they would trail Grove City 25-16 going into the second.

Grove City extended their lead to as many as 10 in the second quarter, but Chatham continued to fight. They would eventually tie the score at 37-37 with 2:20 left in the half. The Wolverines would go into halftime with a 42-39 lead over Chatham.

The second half was all Grove City, as they extended the lead to as many as 13 in the third quarter to take a 60-49 lead into the fourth. Chatham was unable to mount a comeback, as they would fall at home to Grove City 86-61.

Grad student Emily Ondo and sophomore Aliyah Labriola led the way with 14 points and first year Riley D'Angelo added 11 of her own.

The Cougars are back on the hardwood Saturday, February 8th as they travel to take on the Bison of Bethany College.
