NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. – Feb. 16, 2020– The Chatham University Women's Hockey team comes up short on senior day after falling to Stevenson 5-0 Sunday afternoon at Pittsburgh Ice Arena.
RECORDS: The Cougars fall to 8-12-2 (4-8-2 UCHC) while Stevenson improves to 7-5-3 (9-8-5 UCHC).
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham travels to Aston, Pa. for the final weekend of regular season play to face Neumann Friday, February 21st in a conference matchup. Puck drop is set for 4:00 PM.
SCORING SUMMARY: Stevenson scored the only goal in the first period with less than five minutes to play.
In the second period, Stevenson scored three goals. Two of those goals were within minutes of one another.
The Mustangs took the 4-0 lead heading into the third period.
Stevenson scored with less than two minutes remaining in regulation.
The Mustangs defeated the Cougars 5-0 on Chatham's senior day.
GOALTENDING: Devon Strachan suffered the loss for the Cougars making 40 saves including 15 in the second period.
SHOTS LEADER: Rylee Schumacher and
Sydney Collins led the Chatham attack with four shots each on goal.
FACEOFFS: Holly Ackerman won a team high seven face offs. Collins
won six draws in the circle.
