GROVE CITY, Pa. - Jan. 4, 2020 - Chatham (7-3, 1-2) picked up where they left off and continued with conference play, as they traveled to take on the Wolverines of Grove City (10-1, 2-1). The Cougars recently fell to Case Western Reserve on Thursday, January 2nd by a score of 71-51.

The Wolverines jumped out ahead of Chatham early on in the first quarter, going ahead 13-5 five minutes into the quarter. Grove City never let up and finished the quarter with a 20-11 lead heading into the second.

Chatham continued to struggle offensively, scoring only four points in the second quarter. Grove City's 13-4 run in the second pulled them ahead of Chatham 42-15 going into halftime. The Wolverines offense continued to thrive in the second half, opening the third quarter on a 10-0 run. The Cougars were never able to mount a comeback, as they would ultimately fall to Grove City 77-35 putting them at 7-4 on the season and 1-3 in the conference.

Sophomore Katie Fertig led the Cougars with 14 points, as she was the lone Cougar who found herself scoring in double figures.

Chatham is back at the den Wednesday, January 8th as they will face off against the Bison of Bethany College.
