GREENVILLE, Pa. - Jan. 11, 2020 - Chatham (8-4, 2-3) went back on the road to face off against the Tomcats of Thiel (0-12, 0-4) on Saturday, January 11, 2020. The Cougars recently took down the Bison's Bethany College on Wednesday, January 8th 74-60.
After a neck and neck first quarter, the Cougars found themselves ahead one point going into the second. The Cougars exploded in the second quarter, outscoring the Tomcats 27-9 in the quarter. Chatham went into the half ahead 40-23 behind junior Katie Fertig's 10 first half points. Grad student Emily Ondo and first year Riley D'Angelo pitched in nine points each in the half.
Chatham kept up the strong play much into the third quarter, as they would go into the fourth leading 61-37. The Cougars never let up, coming out with a 73-63 victory for their second straight win of the new year.
Ondo led the Cougars with 21 points and 14 rebounds, while D'Angelo added 18 points of her own. Fertig scored 15 points and had a team high four steals.
Chatham is back on the court Wednesday, January 15th as they will take on the Golden Tornadoes of Geneva.
