Chatham edged by Mount Union 3-2

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Sept. 18, 2019 – The Chatham University women's soccer team fell to Mount Union 3-2 this evening. 

THE BACKSTORY
After their sixth game of the 2019 campaign, your Chatham Cougars now have a 2-3-1 overall record. Mount Union improves to a 3-2-1 overall record. Mount Union finished 11-7 overall and 7-2 in the OAC, falling in the semifinals of the conference tournament. 

WHAT HAPPENED
Chatham was first on the board when first-year Olivia Wood scored in the 25th minute, but Mount Union tied it up just four minutes later. The Cougars ended the first half with another goal when Morgan Bryant connected with Greta Mort. The Raiders found the back of the net quickly in the second half and again in the 71st minute to secure the victory.

Kere O'Donnell led the team with four shots. Morgan Anderson picked up three shots. Cassidy Martin, Kyla Kelley, Greta Mort and Morgan Bryant each tallied two shots.
