GREENVILLE, Pa. - April 9th, 2019 – The Chatham University baseball team dropped a doubleheader to PAC opponent Thiel on Tuesday, falling in game one 4-1 before losing 11-4.
RECORDS: Chatham falls to 3-20 overall, 0-11 PAC. The Tomcats improve to 10-16 overall, 6-8 PAC.
WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars will head to Grove City on Friday, April 12th for a single game. Saturday, Chatham will host the Wolverines in a PAC doubleheader starting at 1 pm.
GAME ONE (Thiel 4, Chatham 1)
AT THE PLATE: Caleb Lehman tallied one RBI and two hits while Nussbaum collected one hit.
ON THE MOUND: Bryan Crawford suffered the defeat, striking out four, while
Jake Sweeney and
Bryce Groff appeared in relief..
GAME TWO (Thiel 11, Chatham 4)
AT THE PLATE: Brett Vallorani went two-of-three at the plate.
Michael Nizinski and
Caleb Lehman both picked up one RBI. Nizinski and
Justin Silvious each collected two hits.
Hunter Swartz scored three runs.
ON THE MOUND: Ryan Shawley was tagged with the loss, striking out one.
