Chatham loses heartbreaker in 10 innings to W&J 6-3

PITTSBURGH, PA - March 31, 2019 – The Chatham University baseball team lost a heartbreaker on Sunday afternoon to Washington and Jefferson 6-3 W&J scored 3 runs in the 10th inning to secure the victory. 
 
RECORDS: The Cougars are now 3-15 (0-6 PAC) while the Presidents move to 13-7 (7-0 PAC).
 
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham is scheduled to take on Waynesburg Friday, April 5th. The game is set for a 4pm start.
 
GAME ONE (Washington and Jefferson 6, Chatham 3)
 
AT THE PLATE: The Cougars collected five hits this afternoon.
 
Junior Justin Silvious went 2-for-3 at the plate, with two hits and one RBI. Senior Paul Nussbaum went 2-for-4 at the plate, scoring one run.

ON THE MOUND: Sophomore right-hander Austin Andonisio recorded the loss for the Cougars. Andonisio pitched 6 innings, striking out five.

First-year Erik Napolitano pitched three innings, striking out one.

Junior Jake Sweeney pitched 0.2 inning.
