PITTSBURGH, Pa. - April, 6 2019 – The Chatham University baseball team drop two to Waynesburg Saturday afternoon, Game 1: 10-5 and Game 2: 7-5.
 
RECORDS: The Cougars are now 3-17 (0-8 PAC) while the Yellow Jackets move to 13-12 (7-3 PAC).
 
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham travels to Waynesburg Sunday, April 7th. The game is set for a 1:00 p.m. start.
 
GAME ONE (Chatham 7, Waynesburg 10)
 
AT THE PLATE: The Cougars collected eight hits this afternoon.
 
First-year Michael Nizinski went 2-for-3 at the plate, scoring two runs.

Sophomore Ryan Shawley scored two runs.

Senior Brett Vallorani was 1-for-2 at the plate.

ON THE MOUND: Junior right-hander Adam Cerar recorded the loss for the Cougars. Cerar pitched four innings, striking out one.

Junior Jake Sweeney and first-year Erik Napolitano each pitched one inning. Sweeney gave up two hits. 

GAME TWO (Chatham 5, Waynesburg 7)

AT THE PLATE: The Cougars collected 12 hits in the second game. 

Nizinski went 2-for-3 at the plate with one RBI.

First-year Caleb Lehman went 3-for-5 at the plate, scoring two runs and one RBI.
 
ON THE MOUND: Connor Paul started and pitched five innings, giving up 10 hits and seven runs.

Napolitano pitched three innings, striking out one batter and giving up five hits. 

Sweeney pitched one inning, giving up one hit.
