CRESSON, PA – March 24, 2019 – The Chatham University softball team dropped a doubleheader at Mount Aloysius, falling 5-4 in game one before losing 6-5 in game two. The Cougars led both games until the bottom of the sixth.  
 
RECORDS: Chatham now stands at 3-9 while the Mounties improve to 12-3. Last season, Mount Aloysius won the AMCC Championship Tournament. 
 
WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars hosts Pitt Greensburg tomorrow for a non-conference doubleheader starting at 3:30 pm at West Field.
 
GAME ONE (Mount Aloysius 5, Chatham 4)
 
AT THE PLATE: The Cougar offense enjoyed ten hits as first-year Alexis Butler went 3-for-4 and junior Marissa Wightman finished 2-for-4 with one RBI and one run.
 
Katie McClelland, Madison Howell and Allyson Adams all drove in one run.

Lead-off hitter Caitlin Worwood recorded two RBI and one hit. 

Worwood, Butler, Howell and Wightman each picked up a double. 
 
IN THE CIRCLE: Junior Madison Howell tossed five innings, scattering eight hits while striking out three Mounties.
 
GAME TWO (Mount Aloysius 6, Chatham 5)
 
AT THE PLATE: Chatham tallied nine hits. Wordwood, sophomore Kelsey Benjamin and first-year Amaya Walker went 2-for-4 at the plate.  
 
Wightman, Butler, Benjamin, and Walker all drove in one run.
 
IN THE CIRCLE: Sophomore Julie Swedberg pitched six innings, striking out six.
