PITTSBURGH, PA – Feb. 15, 2019 – The Cougars fought a hard matchup but come up short against Lebanon Valley in conference play Friday evening 8-4.
RECORDS: With the loss, Chatham falls to 5-17-2 overall, 3-13-1 UCHC while Lebanon Valley improves to 8-14-2, 6-9-2 UCHC.
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham travels to New York Saturday, February 16th as they face Elmira in a conference matchup. Puck drop is set for 7:00 pm.
SCORING SUMMARY: Lebanon Valley scored the first goal of the contest.
The first Cougar goal was scored by
Eric Hildebrand at 14:22 of the first period thanks to an assist from
Derek Schrank.
Lebanon Valley ended up scoring four goals in the first period.
The Cougars scored three goals in the second period. The first Cougar goal of the period was scored by
Tristan Simm, assisted by
Cory King and
Michael Lamison. The second Cougar goal was scored by King just minutes later, unassisted. The third Cougar goal of the period was scored by Lamison, with assists from Schrank and Simm.
In the second period, Lebanon Valley scored three goals.
Lebanon Valley scored one goal in the third period, making the final score 8-4.
GOALTENDING: Ricardo Gonzalez suffers the loss tonight for the Cougars. Gonzalez recorded 23 saves, including 10 in the first and second periods.
