PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Dec. 4, 2019 - The Cougars (5-2, 0-0) went up against the Titans of Westminster (4-2, 0-0) on Tuesday, December 4th in their first PAC conference matchup of the 2019-20 season. Chatham was coming off a home win Saturday, November 26th against Penn State Greater Allegheny 76-70.

Chatham went down early after a quick eleven point scoring burst by the Titans early in the half. The Cougars would climb back, shaving Westminster's lead to one with six minutes left until the break. Minutes later, Chatham would pull ahead after a three by first-year Ray Sandherr. After a back and forth first half by both teams, they would go into the break with Chatham leading by eight points with a score of 40-32. 

The Cougars would come clawing at the gates to be released, as they jumped out to a quick 11 point lead to open the half. Chatham would extend their lead to as much as 17 points in the second half. Rallying back, the Titans pulled within six of Chatham with eleven minutes to go in the game. The Cougars would answer with a 6-0 run within minutes, three of those points coming from junior Malik Potter. Westminster was unable to mount a second half comeback, as Chatham would hold on for their sixth win of the season with a final score 81-75.

The Cougars were led by senior Will Sandherr, pouring in 25 points. First-year Garrett Farah chipped in twelve points. 

Chatham is back in PAC conference play Saturday, December 7th against the Yellow Jackets of Waynesburg.
