FREDERICK, Md. - Nov, 23 2019 - The Cougars (3-0, 0-0) made their way to Frederick, MD to take on the Hood College Blazers (3-0, 0-0) on Saturday, November 23rd for their second straight road matchup. The Cougars were looking to go 4-0 to start the season for the first time in program history.
The first quarter was a back and forth battle for both teams, as Chatham would go up five half way through the quarter after a jump shot by grad student Emily Ondo. Chatham held the lead the rest of the quarter, as they would go into the second up 10 over the Blazers.
Chatham would start the second quarter off hot, going ahead 16 points after a three by first year Riley D'Angelo. The Cougars wouldn't slow down as they would go up as much as 26 in the second and head into halftime up 43-20 over Hood.
The Cougars dominated much of the second half as they would never give up the lead. They would come out on top 74-55 over Hood to extend their winning streak to four. Ondo led the Cougars with 29 points, while junior Katie Fertig added 15 points for the Cougars. The Cougars are 4-0 for the first time in their program history.
Chatham is back roaring in den on Monday, November 25th as they will take on Mount Aloysius.
