PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Nov, 23 2019 - Chatham (3-2, 0-0) went up against the Gators of Allegheny College (4-0, 0-0) on Saturday, November 23rd. The Cougars were coming off a win over city rival Carlow University on Wednesday, November 20th.

The Cougars jumped out to an early lead, opening the game up on a 15-6 run. First Year Garrett Farah would put the Cougars up 11 after hitting a jump shot with less than 15 minutes to play in the half. Allegheny was unable to get anything to fall, as they shot 11% from three for the half and entered the break down 37-28 to Chatham.

The second half opened up with a Gator three by Brendon Urso to cut the lead to six making the score 37-31 in favor of Chatham. The Cougar's would stay ahead of the Gators for much of the second half, but Allegheny would come roaring back towards the end of the game. With under six minutes to go in the game, the Gators would tie the score up 56-56 after a jump shot by Brock Brumfield.

Allegheny would trail the Cougars by one with two minutes to go in the game. First year Marcos Cintron would put Chatham back up by three after his jump shot with 1:45 remaining on the clock. As time dwindled down, Chatham muscled their way past Allegheny 68-62 for their fourth win of the season.

Grad student Will Sandherr led the team in scoring with 25 points, While Cintron added 21 points to the win.

The Cougars are back crashing the boards Tuesday, November 26th against Penn State Greater Allegheny as they look to add another win before the Thanksgiving break.
