PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Nov. 13, 2019 -- The Cougars (1-0, 0-0) faced Penn State Fayette in the opening matchup of the season at home (0-0, 0-0)on Wednesday, November 13th. The Cougars were coming off a 74-47 win against Franciscan Tuesday night.
Chatham got on a roll fast, as they went ahead of Penn State Fayette 12-4 just five minutes into the first quarter. The Cougars finished off the first quarter with a nice cushion over Penn State Fayette with a score of 25-10.
The Cougars would continue to hold the lead over Penn State Fayette for the entirety of the second quarter. Graduate student Emily Ondo would score 18 of her 23 points in the first half, as the Cougars would go into halftime over Penn State Fayette 44-21.
Chatham would go up by as much as 31 points in the third quarter, as they would go into the fourth and final quarter with a score of 63-33. First-year Riley D'Angelo was three for six from the field in the second half and three for five from the field point range. The Cougars would never give up the lead, as they would top Penn State Fayette 90-56.
The Cougars travel to Clarks Summit Pa on November 22nd. Tip off is set for 6 p.m.
