PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- Nov. 9, 2019 -- Chatham (0-0, 0-0) began the 2019-2020 season with a home opener against Penn State Du Bois (0-1, 0-0). Prior to the game, the Cougars were presented with their PAC championship rings as well as the unveiling of the banner honoring their 2018-2019 championship season.

Things started slow for Chatham, as they found themselves down early in the first half. The Cougars would pull within one to make the score 32-31 after a three by senior Will Sandherr, with two minutes to go in the half. Unable to take the lead, Chatham would go into the half down 38-31.

The Cougars would continue to keep things close early in the second half, and eventually take the lead 44-43 after a three by junior AJ Meyers. The game would continue to go back and forth, with Chatham maintaining the lead but Penn State would mount a comeback themselves. Penn State would take the lead back 55-54 after a three by Russell Gariepy. The Nittany Lions would hold the lead the rest of the way to defeat Chatham 77-68.

Chatham is back in the den this Tuesday, November 12th at 7 PM as they will take on Penn State Beaver for their second game of the season.
