PITTSBURGH, Pa. – JANUARY 23rd, 2019 – The Chatham University men's basketball team fell to the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets 85-76 this evening. With the loss, the Cougars move to 11-7 overall, 5-5 PAC. Waynesburg moves to 5-13 overall, 4-6 PAC.
Four Cougars hit double figures in tonight's loss. Senior
Will Sandherr led the team with 14 points. Senior
Anthony Bomar finished with 13 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and two steals. Junior
Buzz Walker hit 3-of-4 three-pointers and put up 12 points. Senior
Isaiah Brown put up 10 points, six rebounds and five assists. Senior
Nasir Alexander added nine points, two rebounds and two steals.
The Cougars would come back from a 12 point deficit to tie the game with 9:37 left in the second half. Unfortunately, the comeback was not enough as the Yellow Jackets would take the game. The Cougars scored 19 points off of 16 Waynesburg turnovers.
