PITTSBURGH, Pa. – JANUARY 18th, 2019 – The Chatham University men's basketball team defeated Westminster 62-55 tonight. With the win, the Cougars improve to 11-6 overall, 5-4 PAC. Tonight was a big night for the program. Senior
Alex Schoppen hit his 1,000th career point becoming just the second Cougar to do so. With the 11th win, Chatham now has the most wins in a season in program history.

Alex Schoppen scored a team-high 16 points, including his 1,000th career point. Schoppen shot 4-of-5 from the three-point line and 5-of-7 from the field. Senior
Buzz Walker put up 13 points, shooting 5-of-7 from the field. Senior
Marc Wells recorded a 12 point, 11 rebound double-double. Senior
Anthony Bomar led the team with 10 assists. Bomar added nine rebounds and two steals.
The Cougars defense held the Titans to shoot just 5.6% from beyond the arc, while Chatham shot 40%. Once Chatham took the lead early on, there was no looking back. The Cougars held the lead for just over 38 of the 40 minutes.
