PITTSBURGH, PA. – Sept. 8, 2018 – The Chatham University women's soccer team fell 1-0 to the Gators of Allegheny College. Although the Cougars would outshoot the Gators 20-9, Allegheny would score the lone goal of the game.  

ALLEGHENY STRIKES FIRST
Allegheny scored the game winning goal in the 17th minute. 

COUGARS PUT ON THE PRESSURE
Chatham outshot Allegheny 20-9. Junior Victoria Vernail led the team in shots with six, including four shots on frame. Megan Sieg chipped in five shots. Nine of our thirteen field players recorded a shot in today's matchup. This is the third game in a row that the Cougars put up 20 shots. 

BACKLINE STRONG 
The Cougar defense held the Gators to just two shots on goal the entire 90 minutes.
