Cougars take down Bobcats 3-1

PITTSBURGH, PA. – Sept. 11, 2018 – The Chatham University women's soccer team came out on top in the battle of the felines, beating the Bobcats of Pitt Greensburg 3-1. Senior Julie Bruening, first year Paxton Steffy and sophomore Breanna Oltman all found the back of the net in tonight's victory.   

PITT GREENSBURG STRIKES FIRST
The Bobcats were first to find the back of the net just four minutes into the game. 

COUGARS GO ON THE ATTACK
Chatham outshot Pitt Greensburg 28-7. Bruening led the team with six shots, followed by Steffy with five, and sophomore Kyla Kelley and first year Morgan Anderson with four shots apiece. This is the fourth game in a row that the Cougars have tallied at least 20 shots. 

GOOOOOAL
Bruening would tie the game up in the 16th minute. Steffy scored the game winning goal just six minutes later. Oltman recorded the final goal in the 69th minute. 

BACKLINE STRONG 
This is the second straight game that the Cougar defense held their opponents to just two shots on goal.
