PITTSBURGH, PA. – Sept. 19, 2018 – The Chatham University women's soccer team came out on top in the battle of the purple, beating the Raiders of Mount Union 1-0. First-year Morgan Anderson scored the lone goal of the game.    

COUGARS ON THE PROWL
Chatham outshot Mount Union 27-11, including 14 shots on goal. The Cougars held a 6-0 corner kick advantage. Anderson and junior Emily Nolan led the team with three shots on goal. Senior Katie Sieg, sophomore Kyla Kelley and junior Victoria Vernail each added two shots on goal. 

ANDERSON SCORES FIRST CAREER GOAL
The first-year forward from Pittsburgh, Pa. netted the game winning goal at 37:32. She recorded four shots and three shots on goal. 

BACKLINE STRONG 
The Cougar defense did not allow a single shot on goal in the first 45 minutes. In the second half, the Raiders were only able to get three shots on goal.
