PITTSBURGH, PA. – Sept. 1, 2018 – The Chatham University women's volleyball team swept La Roche 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 26-24) for the first win of the 2018 season. This game also marks head coach
Joseph Bortak's first career win.
WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars kickoff conference play at Geneva on September 5th followed by a non-conference tournament in Washington DC over the weekend.
LEADING THE ATTACK: First year outside hitter
Emily Richie, senior outside hitter
Maggie Fleiner and senior middle blocker
McKenzie Bonnett registered six kills a piece. Richie added nine digs.
DISTRIBUTION LINE: Junior setter Mckenzie Bates and junior setter
Brooke Petrillo each dished out 10 assists. Bates recorded 11 digs and Petrillo chipped in eight.
BACK ROW PLAY: Junior outside hitter
Belen Brown notched a team high 14 digs.
AT THE NET: Senior right side
Katelyn Gonos led the team with three total blocks. The Cougars forced 24 attacking errors by the Redhawks.
