Chatham ends inaugural season with a win at Mount St. Joseph

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – APRIL 28th, 2018 – Chatham defeated Mount St. Joseph 11-5 in the final game of the season. The Cougars wrap up their inaugural season with a 7-8 overall, 3-7 ORLC record.
 
THE SHORT STORY
The first quarter saw one Chatham goal. In the second quarter, the Lions and Cougars each netted two goals. The next 15 minutes ended with Chatham having the 5-2 advantage. The final quarter was explosive with six goals for the Cougars. This marks the end of the inaugural season.
 
KEY COUGARS
Alec Vissotski went 18-for19 in the faceoff X with 14 ground balls and one assist. Kyle Prewitt led the team in scoring with four goals. Will Petraglia registered two goals and two caused turnovers. Adam Bleess tallied two goals, one assist and two ground balls. Ben Neal, Justin McCloskey and Tyler Hayes each picked up one goal. Neal added eight ground balls and three caused turnovers. Hayes grabbed four ground balls and two caused turnovers. Thomas Grigans recorded two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Daniel Napier tabbed a team high two assists. Kyle Peterson earned the win for the Cougars in the net with four saves.

Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA is a member of the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) and offers nine Division III women's sports and seven men's sports. Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five men's sports competing this academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
