Cougars defeated by Wolverines 14-7

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – APRIL 24th, 2018 – Despite a strong first half, the Cougars fell to the Wolverines 14-7.
 
THE SHORT STORY
Grove City held a 4-3 edge after the first quarter. To start the second quarter, the Cougars scored tying the game. Grove City and Chatham would each score two more goals before heading into halftime tied 6-6. The Wolverines took control of the game in the third quarter outscoring the Cougars 6-1. The final quarter saw two unanswered Grove City goals.       
 
KEY COUGARS
Will Petraglia led the team with three goals off of six shots. Petraglia picked up three ground balls. Dillon Dugan and Adam Bleess each registered two shots. Bleess earned two assists. Dugan grabbed four ground balls. Tyler Hayes recorded three assists and two ground balls. In the faceoff X, Alec Vissotski went 18-for-22 picking up 12 ground balls. Ben Neal finished with six ground balls. Matthew Ho tallied two caused turnovers. In the net, Kyle Peterson made 12 saves.

Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five men's sports competing this academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
