Chatham takes down Bethany 16-5

Box Score BETHANY W. Va. – APRIL 11th, 2018 – Chatham defeated ORLC foe Bethany 16-5.   
 
THE SHORT STORY
Although Bethany was first to score, the Cougars would go on a 12 point scoring streak lasting until the third quarter. Chatham controlled the pace of the game allowing just two Bison goals in the first half. In the final two quarters the Cougars continued to dominate Bethany ultimately finishing with a 16-5 advantage.
 
KEY COUGARS
Will Petraglia finished with a team high six goals. Matthew Ho earned six ground balls, two goals and one assist. Dillon Dugan registered two goals and one assist. Kyle Prewitt scored two goals off of three shots. Daniel Napier, Ben Neal, Adam Bleess and Wesley Williams each tallied one goal. Tyler Hayes led the team in assists with two. In the faceoff X, Alec Vissotski went 16-for-23 with eight ground balls and one assist. Bert Cham picked up five ground balls in the net for the Cougars. Williams recorded four ground balls. Neal and Zachery Taylor each added three ground balls. Thomas Grigans finished with a team high four caused turnovers. Taylor chipped in three caused turnovers.

Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five men's sports competing this academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
