Chatham falls in OT at Thiel

Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – MARCH 28rd, 2018 – A strong fourth quarter by the Cougars pushed Thiel into overtime before they ultimately fell 7-6.
 
THE SHORT STORY
Thiel started things off with four goals in the first quarter. Chatham would score one goal in each of the first three quarters. The Cougars held Thiel to just two more goals in regulation. Down 6-3 to the Tomcats, Chatham found the back of the net three times forcing the game into overtime. Thiel would score to end the game 7-6.
 
KEY COUGARS
Dillon Dugan and Adam Bleess finished with two goals for the Cougars. Bleess added three ground balls, two caused turnovers and one assist. Matthew Ho went 5-for-7 in the faceoff X, registering six ground balls and one goal. Daniel Napier scored the goal to force overtime with just 17 seconds left in regulation. Will Petraglia and Tyler Hayes both recorded one assist. Zachery Taylor and Ben Neal chipped in three ground balls and two caused turnovers each. Kyle Peterson was in the net for the entire game. He saw 24 shots on goal and made 17 saves.

Chatham will add women's lacrosse beginning play in 2017-2018. Chatham has added five men's sports competing this academic year: baseball, basketball, cross country, swimming & diving, track & field. Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
