Box Score 2 PITTSBURGH PA - March 25, 2018 – The Chatham University baseball team split Sunday's doubleheader with visiting Hiram, winning the opener 15-1 before dropping the second contest, 10-2, at West Field.
RECORDS: The Cougars are now 7-8 overall while the Terriers move to 3-11 on the year.
WHAT'S NEXT: Chatham is scheduled to host Point Park on Tuesday, March 27 in a DH starting at 1 pm.
GAME ONE (Chatham 15, Hiram 1)
AT THE PLATE: Sophomore outfielder
Drew Brannon (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield Area) went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs scored as the Cougars collected 14 hits.
First-year third-baseman
Ryan Shawley (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) finished 3-for-4 with two RBI while first-year catcher
Tyler Dodson (Courtland, Va./Southampton Academy) and sophomore
Cameron Moeller (Blacklick, Ohio/Licking Heights) each drove in two runs.
ON THE MOUND: Six pitchers appeared for the Cougars as sophomore right-hander
Connor Paul (Carlisle, Pa./Carlisle) earned the win, striking out three.

Adam Cerar (Mentor, Ohio/Lake Catholic) fanned a pair in 1.2 innings of work in relief.
GAME TWO (Hiram 10, Chatham 2)
AT THE PLATE: Junior catcher
Tyler Peyman (Penn Borough, Pa./Penn Trafford) went 2-for-4 and scored a run as Chatham managed just five hits.
ON THE MOUND: Six players pitched for the Cougars as Shawley was tagged with the loss.
