Box Score PITTSBURGH, Pa. – FEBRUARY 24th, 2018 – Chatham finished the first week of action 2-0 after defeating Hiram 16-11 this afternoon.
THE SHORT STORY
Hiram took control in the first quarter, leading Chatham 4-1 at the end of the first fifteen minutes. Three minutes into the second quarter, a goal by
Dillon Dugan would spark a 12 goal scoring run. The Chatham defense would hold Hiram to four points until just under five minutes left in the third quarter. Heading into the final 15, the Cougars held a 14-6 edge over the Terriers. Chatham would finish with a 16-11 advantage.
KEY COUGARS
In the faceoff X,
Alec Vissotski won 23 of 27 draws. Vissotski totaled 16 ground balls leading Chatham to a 37-16 edge in ground balls on the afternoon.
Adam Bleess scored a team high six goals off of eight shots.
Dillon Dugan earned three goals off five shots.
Will Petraglia collected two goals and three ground balls.
