PITTSBURGH, Pa. – DECEMBER 29th, 2018 – The Chatham University men's basketball team defeated non-conference rival Franciscan 85-72. With the win, the Cougars improve to 7-4 overall.
Senior
Will Sandherr picked up a game-high 20 points. Sandherr added three assists and three steals. Senior
Anthony Bomar recorded a 19 point, 11 rebound double-double. Bomar shot for 100% with three assists and three steals. Senior
Isaiah Brown put up 17 points, three rebounds and two assists. Senior
Marc Wells finished with 11 points and seven rebounds. Junior
Buzz Walker chipped in 10 points.
The Cougars shot 54% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc. The first half saw eight lead changes but headed into halftime Chatham held a 37-31 edge over Franciscan. The Cougars kept a safe lead throughout the final twenty minutes.
