Chatham dominates Bethany 7-0

PITTSBURGH, PA. – Oct. 6, 2018 – The Chatham University women's soccer team posted a 7-0 shutout victory over the Bison of Bethany. This marks Chatham's first PAC win of the season. With the win the Cougars improve to 7-4 overall, 1-2 PAC and the Bison drop to 3-9, 0-3 overall in 2018.

GOOOOOAL
Five different Cougars scored in today's victory. First year Paxton Steffy netted the game winning goal in the fourth minute of action. First year Morgan Anderson scored shortly after with the assist from sophomore Genna Zeswitz. Steffy found the back of the net again off a pass from senior Julie Bruening. Junior Victoria Vernail recorded one goal, assisted by Kyla Kelley. Graduate student Megan Sieg earned her second goal of the season, with another assist from Bruening. Anderson earned goal number six. Senior Kassianna Politis finished the game with the final goal, assisted by sophomore Darby Robinson.

BACKLINE STRONG
The backline claimed its fourth shutout of the year and limited the Bison to three shots, including just one shot on goal. 

COUGARS ON THE ATTACK
Chatham outshot Bethany 20-3, including 12 shots on goal. The Cougars held a 4-1 corner kick advantage.
