KEUKA PARK, N.Y. - Sept. 2, 2017 - The Chatham University women's volleyball program improved to 3-0 on the young 2017 season on Saturday, with a pair of wins over host Keuka and D'Youville.
RECORD: The Cougars improve to 3-0 in 2017 and will prepare to travel to Pitt Greensburg on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 6 pm.
CONTROLLING KEUKA: Despite dropping the first set, the Cougars responded and rattled off three-straight wins en route to the 3-1 match victory.
First-year middle blocker
Elivia Wagner (Erie, Pa./McDowell) and sophomore outside hitter
Justyne Lasher (Ford City, Pa./Armstrong)Â both enjoyed double-digit kill outings with 12 and 11 executions apiece.
Sophomore outside hitter
Belen Brown (Monaca, Pa./Central Valley)Â tallied a match-high six service aces.
Sophomore setters
Mckenzie Bates (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) and
Brooke Petrillo (Derry, Pa./Derry Area) orchestrated the offense with 15 and 12 assists, respectively.
Lasher, sophomore libero
Sydney Stevens (Monroeville, Pa./Gateway)Â and Brown led the defense with 14, 14 and 13 digs, respectively. Lasher and Wagner combined for six total blocks at the net.
DOMINATING D'YOUVILLE: Lasher once again led the attack with 12 kills and enjoyed her second double-double of the day with 11 digs.
Bates dished out 18 assists while Stevens and Brown tallied 18 and 11 digs apiece.

Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
