Chatham defeated by Oberlin 61-47

Box Score OBERLIN, OHIO – DECEMBER 29th, 2017 – The Chatham men's basketball team is competing in the Oberlin College Holiday Classic this weekend. In their first game, Chatham fell to Oberlin 61-47.

KEY PLAYERS: Isaiah Brown led the team in scoring with 13 points. Brown added six rebounds. Will Sandherr tallied 11 points with two rebounds. Logan Hunter and Josh Randall each chipped in six points, three rebounds and two assists. Marc Wells recorded six rebounds in his first game with the Cougars.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: The game saw seven lead changes and six tied scores. Chatham led by five points with eight minutes remaining in the first half. The Cougars earned nine points off of 13 forced Oberlin turnovers. Chatham tallied 11 second chance points off of eight offensive rebounds. The bench scored 33 points for the team.

WHAT'S NEXT: The Cougars are back on the court for the second day of the tournament when they take on Medaille at 1 pm tomorrow.

Chatham will add two more men's varsity sports beginning play in 2017-2018; ice hockey and lacrosse.
