Chatham Swimming & Diving Competes at Saint Vincent

Results

LATROBE, PA – Alexis Rectenwald won the 1 meter dive event, and qualified for the NCAA Regional meet in that event, as the Chatham Swimming and Diving team competed at Saint Vincent College on Saturday against the Bearcats and Bethany College.

Chatham fell to Bethany 159-99, and to Saint Vincent 146-103.

Rectenwald scored 180.70 points in the 1 meter dive, over 72 points ahead of the second place finisher. Elina Lankinen was the other winner on the day for Chatham, as she won the 200 yard breaststroke in a time of 2:43.33.

The 200 yard medley relay team of Rectenwald, Lankinen, Hillary Lotz, and Theresa Schrider took second in 2:02.82. Lotz had a pair of second place finishes herself, in the 100 yard backstroke and 200 yard backstroke.

Chatham is back in action on Monday, January 20, when they travel to Franciscan University. Meet time is set for 5:00pm.
