Three of Galati's divers qualified for the 2017 NCAA Division III Diving Regionals after strong showings at the 2017 Presidents' Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. Haley Ashner finished as the runner-up in the one-meter event with a score of 462.60 while Kaitlyn Pawcio came in fourth with a score of 449.60. Theo Skoric was the third President to qualify for the regionals after posting a score of 482.25 in the three meter event, good for first place and allowing Skoric to take home the PAC Men's Diving MVP award. At the 2016 PAC Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, W&J claimed the top three spots on the one-meter board and three of the top four on the three-meter board at the league championships on the men's side. Josh Vasko ('17) earned his second-straight sweep on both boards and became the first PAC diver to win the one-meter title three times in a row since 2006-08. At the 2014-15 PAC Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, Galati swept the Coach of the Year awards, marking the 10th and 11th honors in his career. He is the only person to win the award as PAC women's diving coach of the year and has been awarded the last five men's laurels. Jennifer Suder and Josh Vasko won their respective Diver of the Year honors from the PAC as well.
Galati was selected as the PAC Diving Coach of the Year for the third-straight season after helping Jennifer Suder '15 and John Szott '13 sweep the conference's Diver of the Year awards. Szott won both the 1- and 3-meter titles, while Suder took first place on the 3-meter platform at the PAC Championship meet.
In 2011-12, Galati guided Bethany Haver '12 to her second-straight appearance at the NCAA Division III Diving Championships. During the 2010-11 season, Galati helped Haver earn a pair of First All-America awards after placing among the top eight finishers (5th, 3-meter; 7th 1-meter) at the NCAA Diving Championships. Haver was the first female diver from the Presidents' Athletic Conference to compete at the national championships, and would go on to become a four-year All-American.
Following the 2012 PAC Championships, Galati became the back-to-back PAC Men's and Women's Diving Coach of the Year after Justin Weifenbach '12 and Haver swept the conference championships for the second-straight time.
Galati was selected as the 2010 Presidents' Athletic Conference Women's Diving Coach of the Year after helping Haver earn a pair of conference titles. Haver broke the conference record on both boards.
In 2009, Weifenbach set school records at 1-meter and 3-meter under Galati's tutelage.
Galati previously was the assistant coach for W&J swimming & diving from 1998-2003. In 2002, two Presidents qualified for the national championships under his guidance.
Before originally starting at W&J, Galati was the diving coach for Canon-McMillan High School from 1993 to 1999. He also served as the Canon-McMillan girls’ head swimming coach from 1996 to 1999.
He is a 1992 graduate of Westminster College, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in business administration. While at Westminster, he was a four-time letter winner and competed in the 1- and 3-meter diving events, where he earned fifth place at the Penn Ohio Conference Meet (1992).
Galati also placed 12th in the 1650 freestyle event (1991), 11th in the 400-IM (1990), and fourth in the 200-freestyle relay (1989) at the Pennsylvania-Ohio Conference Meet.
