Todd Hamer

Todd Hamer comes to Chatham's Women's Basketball program with 20 years of Division 1 strength and conditioning experience and now serves as the General Manager of Union Fitness. Prior to Union Fitness, Hamer was Director of Strength and Conditioning at the George Washington University where he oversaw all 27 teams and a staff of 6 strength coaches. Before his time at GW Hamer spent time at Robert Morris, George Mason, The Citadel, Pitt, Penn State, as well as UNC-Chapel Hill.

Hamer has presented on the topic of training at more than 50 professional clinics and seminars. In addition to this Hamer has been adjunct faculty at three universities and guest lectured on topics ranging from music, history, linguistics, as well as biological sciences. Hamer was nominated as the 2017 NSCA Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year and was also awarded the Presidential Distinguished Achievement Award during his time at Robert Morris. Hamer has also been published over 100 times, you can find him in elitefts, Muscle and Fitness, Men’s Fitness, as well as other publications.

In addition to his work, Hamer has competed in powerlifting for two decades and has completed the Rachel Carson hike tens times. Hamer is also an avid cyclist and has ridden his bicycle from Pittsburgh to Washington DC ten times.

He resides in Sewickley with his wife Erica and son Tenzing.
