Marlena Tremba will enter her second season as an assistant coach at Chatham University in 2019-2020. Originally from Vienna, Virginia, Tremba comes to Chatham after a standout four-year playing career at the College of William & Mary where she garnered All-CAA honors three times, was tabbed to the CAA All-Tournament team, and was named the 2014 CAA Rookie of the Year. In addition, she is a two-time VaSID All-State honoree.

During her time at William & Mary she helped guide the Tribe to their best regular season in school history, along with the first conference tournament quarterfinals win since 2001, and the first post-season tournament appearance.

Tremba finished her career at William & Mary as the third all-time scorer (1,595), first in minutes played (4,023), second in 3-pointers made (284), fifth in assists (339), and eighth in steals (200).

Prior to getting into the coaching realm, Tremba worked for a year as a financial analyst at ADP in Norfolk, VA. There, she helped create and develop financial models and assisted with the operating, planning, and forecasting of the company’s expenses.

Tremba has worked as an elite camp counselor and featured shooting instructor at Paul VI High school in Fairfax, VA for the past five summers where she led drills and assisted players with their skill development. As a player for Paul VI, she helped lead the team to three VISAA division one state championships.

Tremba graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from William & Mary in 2017.
