Prior to Chatham: Peterson attended Dublin Coffman High School. While there, Peterson scored three goals and totaled seven assists. He was named 1st Team All-Conference his junior year and 2nd Team All-Conference his senior year. He was named the Nick Rosanski Man of the Year.
