Mike Gardner

Coach Gardner brings over 30 years of coaching experience to Chatham. He begins his third season with the Cougars in 2021-22.

He holds a USSF A License, NSCAA Director of Coaching License, USSF Youth License, USSF Instructional License, Irish Football Association Full Badge and a Pennsylvania Teacher Certificate Level 2: Health and Physical Education.

In addition to coaching at Chatham, Coach Gardner is currently the Director of Player and Coach Development for Arsenal FC of Pittsburgh, is on the PA West Instructional Staff, and is on the PA West ODP Staff. Prior to his current coaching positions, Coach Gardner has served as Director of Coaching at Century United of Pittsburgh Football Club, as a staff coach for the Virginia Olympic Development Program, as an assistant coach for Carnegie Mellon University men's soccer, and as head coach for Keystone Oaks High School boys' varsity soccer.

Coach Gardner was awarded Boys Varsity Soccer Section Coach of the Year during his tenure with South Park High School in 2001.
