2027: Baum is entering his senior season.

2026: As a sophomore, Baum made 13 appearances, starting eight games. He pitched 48.1 innings to the tune of a 5.77 ERA and a 3-0 record. He struck out 59 batters and walked just 28.

2025: As a freshman, Baum made 10 appearances, starting one game. He pitched 18.1 innings, striking out 17 and allowing 19 hits. He ended the season with a 5.89 ERA and a 1.80 WHIP.

Prior to Chatham: Baum attended Heath High School. During his senior season, he threw 67 innings, striking out 81 batters and totaling a 1.46 ERA. He was named PBR Division III 1st Team All-State and was named the 2024 Newark Advocate Pitcher of the Year.

Personal: Baum is the son of Kelly Baum.
