Tim McNichol

Coach McNichol enters his third season as an Assistant Coach at Chatham. In 2021, McNichol’s first season at Chatham he assisted with the offense and ran the substitution box. Last season, Coach McNichol took over as offensive coordinator and ran the extra-man unit.

Since joining the staff, Coach McNichol has coached 14 All-PAC performers, including six players on the offensive side of the ball. In addition to his duties as Offensive coordinator, Coach McNichol assists with recruiting and practice planning. In his first summer recruiting, Coach helped bring 12 new players to campus for the Fall of 2022.

In addition to his coaching duties at Chatham, Coach McNichol coaches with True Pittsburgh Lacrosse. Over the past two summers he has coaches the True Pitt 2022 Green and True Pitt 2023 Black teams.

McNichol, a Pittsburgh native and graduate of Mount Lebanon High School was a four-year standout at McDaniel College, finishing with 107 career points (81G/26A). His 81 career goals were good enough for 19th all-time at McDaniel. McNichol captained the Green Terror during his senior campaign, while earning a bachelor's degree in Communications. After graduating McNichol stayed involved in the local Pittsburgh lacrosse scene. He coached the JV & Varsity lacrosse teams at Mt. Lebanon High School while working for Dick's Sporting Goods corporate offices. McNichol is currently pursuing his Masters of Teaching from Chatham University. He lives locally with his wife Kirsten.
