Tim was born in Pittsburgh and attended Central Catholic before being recruited to play prep school hockey for the Brooks School, where he was an All-ISL nominated player. He then played junior hockey for the Green Mountain Glades of the EJHL before moving to the NCAA with UMass-Boston, where he was Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year and was named an alternate captain after his freshman year. Â He then transferred to Suffolk University for his last two years of NCAA eligibility before moving on to play 7 years professionally, ending his career as a member of the Fayetteville FireAntz of the SPHL.
Tim began his coaching career with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite 16U team, before moving back to prep school as a coach for Gilmour Academy, where he stayed for 3 seasons before moving back to New England. Â While in New England Tim coached for the Brooks School as well as the Worcester Railers, where he ran skating and skills for their youth program and occasionally the ECHL team. Â Tim also coaches for Ice Works Elite Hockey Training where he serves as their Power Skating Director.
Tim currently lives in Harmony, PA Â with his dog and two cats.
