Sean Moloney

Sean Moloney enters his first season as Chatham Men’s Ice Hockey Goaltending Coach in 2020-21. 

Sean Moloney has been coaching goaltenders in the US and his native Canada for over 20 years. He has established a reputation as one of the most respected goaltending coaches in the business. He has served as the goaltending coach for many college and Junior programs including Duquesne University, Robert Morris University and Lebanon Valley College where he coached Jill Moffatt, the NCAA record holder for saves in a career.

Coach Moloney and Coach Gershon first worked together with the Keystone Ice Miners in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) during the 2014-2015 season where they coached current Chatham Assistant Coach, AJ Coleman. Coach Moloney then went on to coach an NAHL opponent, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights.

Moloney is the founder and director of Building Blocks Goaltending School, and since 2013, he has been an instructor for World Pro Goaltending, one of the most prestigious goaltending schools in the world. He is also the author of the book 'Modern Goaltending Modern Game' which was published in 2013.
