Billy will be entering his 7th season with the Cougars in 2023-24. He entered as an assistant coach during the inaugural season in 2017-18.
Billy has recruited several UCHC award recipients and assisted in leading the program to its most successful seasons, including the program’s first home playoff game, first conference playoff win, and the first votes for the national ranking. Over this time, Billy has also mentored the Cougars to 150 UCHC All Academic Team selections and 54 AHCA All American Scholar awards, along with several awards on campus. He has also assisted in developing 9 Cougars alumni to professional hockey contracts in the program’s young history.
A Pittsburgh native, Billy attended Central Catholic High School where he later coached for 17 years, developing multiple NCAA and future professional hockey players.
