Pat Martinelli

Pat Martinelli enters his fifth year as an assistant coach for Chatham's Men's Basketball team in the 2023-24 season. He is intimately involved in recruiting, on-court coaching, practice planning, opponent scouting, player development and game planning

With the help of Martinelli, the Cougars won their second PAC Championship in 2023 and earned their second appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Martinelli has helped guide the Cougars to 2 PAC Championship appearances and a school record 21 wins (21-22).

Before Chatham, Martinelli served as an assistant coach at Allegheny College for two years after an impressive four-year undergraduate student coaching position with the same team. A native of Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, Martinelli majored in managerial economics and minored in German before graduating from Allegheny College in 2017. During his time at Allegheny, he assisted in the athletic department with statistics, research, press box operations and game day management. To Chatham, Martinelli brings a rich coaching background, including assisting players in earning collegiate all-conference honors and acting as the director of an elite scouting camp. In addition, Martinelli is experienced in recruiting, preparing scouting reports, conducting film analysis, and designing workouts for individual players.
