Clay Groff

Assistant Baseball Coach Clay Groff joined the Cougars in 2019.

Groff came to Chatham after a graduate assistantship with the Notre Dame College baseball team, where he oversaw recruiting efforts for both the varsity and junior varsity squads and served as the head coach for junior varsity. Prior to Notre Dame, Groff played professionally in the Pecos League of Professional Baseball for both the Salina Stockade and the Santa Fe Fuego before moving his talents to the Beach Collegiate Baseball League as a head coach and general manager.

Groff played his collegiate career at Penn State Greater Allegheny, graduating in 2015 with a degree in Business Marketing and Management. In his senior year alone, he served as a team captain, won the Team Leadership Award, and was named to the First Team All-PSUAC.

He received his Master of Education degree from Notre Dame College in 2019 and now serves as a substitute teacher in the Pittsburgh Public Schools system.
